Ten A-kasser, one question: which is worth it?

Every A-kasse provides the same dagpenge (~19,700 kr/month for up to 2 years). The difference is price, English support, and industry focus.

Join before you need it — you must be a member for 12 months before you can claim.

A-KASSE A 199 kr /month A-KASSE B 478 kr /month A-KASSE C 355 kr /month → Dagpenge: ~19,700 kr/mo

Why this matters
The maths behind joining Cost: ~300 kr/month × 12 months = 3,600 kr/year Benefit if you lose your job: ~19,700 kr/month × 24 months = 472,800 kr
That’s a 131:1 return ratio. Without A-kasse membership of 12+ months, you get zero dagpenge. You may only qualify for kontanthjælp (means-tested, much lower). This is the single most important financial safety net to set up when you arrive.
