Denmark weather by month, what to expect
Spring (Mar-May)
Cold to mild and brightening fast. April-May bring blossom, lengthening days and the start of outdoor life. A good-value time to visit before summer crowds.
Summer (Jun-Aug)
The best months: 15-22°C, very long days (light until ~22:00 in June), harbour swimming and festivals. Rarely hot, occasional rain, peak crowds and prices.
Autumn (Sep-Nov)
September is mild and pleasant; October cools with autumn colour; November turns grey, wet and dark, the least appealing month.
Winter (Dec-Feb)
Cold (around 0-5°C), short days (light ~08:30-15:45 in December) and often wet rather than snowy. December glows with Christmas lights and Tivoli; January-February are quiet and cheap. See best time to visit.
